An “architectural wonder of the eighteenth century,” Château du Juge is a superb estate of 50 hectares of which 20 are hectares planted in vines. Located in Haux, one of the most beautiful hillsides on the right bank of the Garonne River, it is said to have once belonged to a sea captain named Corsair Pierre Nicolas Rousse.

Vinification
Grapes are destemmed before vatting, which lasts for between 15 to 20 days. Then, after filtering, the wine is aged in oak barrel during 12 month before being bottled.

Tasting notes
This wine has a grenat colour with rose glints. It reveals aromas vanilla, blackcurrant, toast. On the palate, it is supple and ample with round tannins.

Suggested dishes
A good match with rib roast with fry sweet potatoes and duck liver sauce.
